The Poweram Model 1825 is about 1 3/4 times more powerful than the Model 1425, but it doesn't take any more space (it fits into the same shoring box)! It is a good choice for tough crossings in tight quarters.
This compact machine installs new underground utilities by pushing steel rods under roadways, etc. and pulling the required pipe or cable back; and it can replace existing lines by pulling pipe splitting and/or bursting tools through the old pipe and pulling a new pipe into the same space. The new pipe can be the same size or larger than the old pipe.
The Model 1825 is normally used for water, gas, electric, telephone, and cable TV services, as well as sewer laterals, traffic signals, street lighting, and irrigation installations.
One person can operate the model 1825. It has two hydraulic cylinders controlled by one valve, which puts the operator in control of the machine and his/her own safety. The cylinders actuate the patented jaw system that grips the push rods. The centerline of the push rod is 5 inches above the bottom of the machine. The Model 1825 can pull up to 8" pipe in most soil conditions. Larger pipe can be installed in suitable soils. The longest practical distance for accuracy depends on soil conditions and operator experience. Using an electronic locating devise helps the operator make critical decisions that can greatly increase productivity. We recommend using the No. 363 Safety Shoring Box to protect the operator and to provide a faster and more stable set-up.
Poweram push/pull rods have threaded joints; no couplings are required. They can be added and removed within the length of the machine. The strong, course threads require only 3 ½ turns to seat. The Poweram jaw system grips the rods tightly without creating sharp, dangerous steel slivers. The 14 inch stroke cylinders pull the 3 ft. long rods in three "bites", and allow room to bring the pipe or cable into the machine to finish the pull.

POWERRAM HYDRAULIC POWER UNIT MODEL 2010
An 18 HP Kohler Magnum gasoline engine powers this newly redesigned unit. A variable volume piston pump with pressure compensated control delivers up to 17 gpm at low pressures. The maximum pressure is 3000 psi.
Standard features include electric start, fuel filter, hour meter, and hydraulic oil cooler with by-pass relief. A magnetic suction filter and an internal relief valve protect the pump. The system is protected by an external safety relief valve and a high efficiency return line filter.
The 18 gallon hydraulic oil tank has a screened fill cap, oil level /temperature gauge, and a removable top.
3/4" hydraulic hoses with flat face quick couplers are included. They are stored on a built-in hose rack for easy access. 25 feet is the standard length, other lengths may be ordered.
The Model 2010's sturdy, compact skid frame provides protection from all sides and allows the unit to be lifted by overhead crane or forklift. The hinged cover shields the unit from the weather and allows easy access to the fuel and oil tank or for routine engine maintenance. The cover may be locked for security.
The unit is 28" wide x 46" long x 32" high and weights 600 lbs. with 18 gallons of hydraulic oil and 6 gallons of gasoline.
The Model 2010 was designed as a companion for our Mini-Ram rod pushers, but it can do other jobs as well. An auxiliary hydraulic circuit (or circuits) can be provided to power water pumps and other tools. Features such as priority flow dividers or pressure regulation can also be added.
